Own a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of handmade silver art inspired by rare 7th century Anglo-Saxon silver sceat coin designs! This is my very first hand-poured silver piece, created using a graphite mold inspired by the iconic Wolf Serpent (wolf-headed serpent) motif found on early medieval Anglo-Saxon sceats. 999 fine silver (recycled from my own silver scrap), this test pour came out with wonderful natural character and imperfections that give it real soul and authenticity. Weight: Approximately 58 grams (a little over 1.86 troy ounces) – my scale doesn’t read decimals Material. Process : Hand-poured into a graphite mold, then antiqued and hand-polished. Design: Features the striking Wolf Serpent motif with forked tongue. The first pour resulted in a distinctive natural hole right through the serpent’s mouth area – the tongue still beautifully formed over the edge of the hole, adding an almost ancient, artifact-like quality (it even reminds me a bit of the Goonies treasure map coin vibe). Every detail shows the handmade nature of the pour: slight variations in the rim, organic flow lines, and that charming hole that makes this piece truly unique. No two pours will ever be exactly the same – this is a genuine prototype/test piece from my first adventure into silver casting.
